I enjoy vinyl and digital (lately, with recent changes, vinyl actually sounds better than digital to me), BUT given what seems an overall preference for analog/vinyl on A'gon, I'm curious what the non-vinyl "1/2" is listening to. I tried to see if this was a previously posted question. Did not seem so.
This evening for me, it's Genesis (definitive edition remaster) "A Trick of the Tail".
fountains of wayne, sky full of holes--i don't generally like this type of "clever pop," but these guys do it very well, with a real sense of the melodic hook. their guitar player is surprisingly great. tinted windows, nothing to me--sort of supergroup with the auteur from fountains on wayne, the drummer from cheap trick and the kid from hanson, who wrote this surprisingly great song. neil finn, try whistling this--tamer than my typical fare, but immaculately played and produced
Your a genius! Tinted Windows is great. When you said it was the drummer from "Cheap Trick", I thought you meant the current drummer. That’s Bun E. Carlos. He's lost weight. They were certainly not on my radar. Catchy tune too.
