Audio Analogue Verdi Setlanta Hybrid Integrated from 220 to 110??

A friend is offering to trade me an Audio Analogue Verdi Setlanta hybrid integrated amp from Italy.It comes with a big converter that he has used with it that converts the voltage from 220 to 110. I don’t like that big box and was wondering if there is a way to change the voltage. He had it paired with some Transparent Celius 202 floor standing speakers. Never hear of either. The speakers sound really good but I don’t know if I want the amp as well. Any ideas if I should use the voltage corrector box or just get the speakers and not get the amp. That is an option but he really liked the combo and needs them gone since he is moving.
