Record weights

Just wondering what you folks consider acceptable poundage for these things. In my shopping Ive seen weights vary between 7 oz up to 3 lbs! I just want enough weight to be effective without killing my TT ( Clearaudio Concept wood)  Thanks for your thoughts.

Shun Mook is the best record weight it does cost to much also 3 lbs is to much for the bearing on many tables.

It all depends on the table. Clearaudio makes a clamp for the especially for the Concept. They also have the Twister that would work well with the Concept.

I own a Clearaudio Innovvation Wood and use the VPI record weight. But my guess is that it may be a bit heavy for the Concept.

10oz is plenty enough. i use DIY 'pancakes' from TVC-like material 10..12oz I cut on my dad's lathe.
3lb is overovertheoverkill.
why stress the label so it stresses the rest of surface?
