Yes, I am the op and agree that the ones Peter is sending me are likely not the original variety but should work fine. If anyone also knows a source for the original screws I would appreciate it just for backup.

A little "googling" taught me the original platter screws are "pan head shoulder screws." There seem to be several sources in England, or one could have them custom made in China if you needed several thousand or so.
