Resale value

When buying gear, I consider resale but it's not a deal breaker if the product has a low resale value.  Me, I buy name brands, from companies that have been in this business for a long time with outstanding customer  service.  If that means, I save longer for something new, so be it.

I'm not an impulse buyer so whatever I buy, plan to keep for a while so resale value is not a factor in my purchasing decision.

When time to sell, I'm comfortable with the losses.   I'm worth it!

I used to just buy what I could listen to but digital purchases changed all that. As they are basically computers my equipment had no value in a very short time. Even the major brands of the time, Theta digital and Faroja have long been gone. 
My VTL and Magnapans have kept their value as well as my kimber cable. 
It can all be a guess.
