Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

I know I'm starting to sound like a broken record (well, actually like a continuous audio stream), but this morning I'm listening to Radio Paradise's internet radio stream (Again!). I love the eclectic mix. They just played Two Cello's version of "Hurt" followed by Led Zeppelin - "Heartbreaker", then Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros - "All in a Day". Who does that?........... :~) I've found so much new music on Radio Paradise. I've started using Shazam just to keep a running record of the new music I hear, and want to buy, while listening to RP.

Seriously, for me, for passive listening, Radio Paradise is currently my favorite music source, bar none. It ain't bad for active listing either. I find the sound quality at 320kbps to be excellent. I'm often in pure amazement regarding their playlist. I have a little music server/streamer that I built using a Raspberry Pi / HiFiBerry DAC Pro+ that I use for streaming RP to my main system. It sounds great!

Happy Weekend to All, and Enjoy.......
reubent,

I agree with you on RP. If I had a different set-up, I'd listen more. I hate to sit in front of my computer to listen.

arcam88,

Appreciate to follow-up!

Got recently my audible treat and spinning following albums at least 4th time:

Depeche Mode "Exciter" on original 2001 UK vinyl
Depeche Mode "Ultra" on original 1999 UK vinyl

They are indeed kings of electronic rock. MEGA POWER

I use my little Raspberry Pi music server to stream to my main system. I built a killer little streamer/server for under $200 and it could be done for about $100 if you forego a fancy power supply and case. Heck, if you have a USB DAC, you could build a Raspberry Pi dedicated music streamer/server for under $50 and get really decent sound. Also, the MoOde OS is free and super easy to set up and use. It's incredibly robust. I left it running for a week while I went on vacation. Came home and it was still streaming Radio Paradise via a wifi connection.
One of my recent record show finds. A clean copy of..

The Velvet Underground "VU" !
