"Laughing on the bus
playing games with the faces,
She said the man in the gabardine suit was a spy,
I said be careful
his bow tie is really a camera.."

"They gave me a useless education
and a sub-prime loan on a craftsman home
keep my prescription filled
and now I can’t get off
but I can kind of deal
with being"
Father John Misty-Bored In The USA

"Molly went to Arkansas
and got raped by Dobbin's dog
well she was doing good
till she went in the woods
and got pinned up against a log"

@slaw...you must be in a pretty dark mood  :-)
.."I sit on the cornerstones
count the time in quarter tones till ten
my friend
please don't confront me
with my failure..
I'm aware of them"

mofimadness, you got em’!

These lyrics just have a lot of meaning for me. Any day I can listen to good music is a good day. Something about Sundays I get in a more reflective mood. I can only assume since you seem to have immediately recognized these lyrics, they made an impression on you as well. This was kind of my reason for the thread.

"these days I sit on cornerstones..."--that's Jackson Browne, "These Days."  I first heard Tom Rush sing that.

I sit on the cornerstones
count the time in quarter tones till ten
my friend
please don’t confront me
with my failure..
I’m aware of them"
Actually, this could also be Gregg Allman-These Days
