Used audio market is not the same again since on-line marketplace was born in 1995 (Fleabay).   What is your speaker *ownership* history since then?   

(showroom / friend's house / loaner don't count .. must be owner of them)

Some Radio Shack “Realistic” thing – first system as a kid – about 1975

Ohm I – Great first step-up into this hobby, owned for many years

Bang & Olufsen Red Line 45's – Hated these completely

Cambridge Audio - in various rooms for background music

NHT – workshop

Niles OS10 – outdoor speakers – not good, sold

early 1970's: a home built Philips speaker
1976: Quad esl 57
2009: Quad 2805
2012: B&W PV1d to supplement the Q2805s, tamed by a DSpeaker Antimode 8033 (crucial)

Secundary system in my study:
1991: Rogers LS3/5a
2015: Harbeth P3ESR

bedroom system:
2008: Wharfedale Diamond 9.0

As should be obvious from the list, I am not an impulse buyer.

This is fun, but I can go back to 1968 and am a relative piker, with only seven speaker systems in 50 years.

  1. Rectilinear III (large)
  2. Infinity 2000 (predecessor to the 2000A)
  3. Chartwell LS3/5A
  4. Added custom built transmission line woofers using KEF B200s (biamped)
  5. NHT Super Zero with SW-1 subwoofer (subsidiary system)
  6. B&W Matrix 801 S3
  7. Infinity RS1b
  8. Infinity Modulus satellites and servo subwoofer (1990 model)
I still have all of these (except for the Rectilinears). I think the Matrix 801s are the best of the lot.
