Ground Wires for Turntables

Hi
I am trying to set up a Denon DP-29F turntable but I have no ground wire. I found the spot to connect to on the pre-amp but can't find a spot on the actual turntable. Can i connect to any metal surface or should there be a specific location? I'm pretty new at this so any new information is helpful.

The ground wire is part of the cord coming out of the turntable (i.e. there should be two RCA plugs and a spade connector) the spade connector is the ground that you attach to your phono stage or pre-amp. It may sound better with or without the ground so try it both ways. Page 7 of the DP-29F manual is pretty clear in this regard.

Right i read that manual but my problem is for some reason the spade connector is not there. So I'm wondering if i buy a ground wire individually would that sill work?
