Change the spades on the wire with smaller spades, as long as the new spades will accommodate the gauge size ( thickness ) of your wires. Enjoy ! MrD.

Any one familiar with the (Mcintosh 7100) amp, it has screws on that back...I just bought new speaker cables and the (spade ) lugs are too thick to fit under the screws....other than file job...any suggestions. I can take a pic if needed !!

That is the one thing that is very annoying about older Mac amps. I used these for a while until I finally had my tech guy remove the terminal strips on my old MC 2105 and put on modern speaker terminals.
