@rocky1313: I have a set of Tara Prism bi-wire cables I used on my MartinLogan Monoliths. The speakers were set up for bi-wiring. I now have speakers with two conductor connections. I simply combined both positives/negatives together and they sound great. I’m running approx 24” lengths of cables from a couple of monoblocks. In full disclosure, I’ve never been one to recognize the benefits of expensive wires or interconnects, but am learning through trial, the better interconnects make a huge difference. As far as speaker wire, I’m still in the camp that if the wire gauge is large enough, and the actual wire is of good composition, not sure about the benefits of exotic speaker wires. I made a set of 12/2 solid core romex with ground, soldered some gold plated spades on the ends and they sound as good as the Tara’s.
Speaker Wire question
I was given a free pair of Tara Lab speaker wires Model Prism Klara.
I tried these on my Klipsch Heresy 1 speakers and to my surprise, they sounded as good as my Audioquest Gibraltar speaker wires.
Even though the Tara Lab wires are entry level, they sound so good. Why is that?
Also these wires were made in China in 1998 and have been discontinued.
Any opinions ?
