While I don't have direct experience with the cables listed, I think either one will likely be a safe choice. All of the copper AudioQuest cables I've used which consisted of silver-plated RCA/spade connectors contributed to a brighter, thin sound. I personally favor gold-plated connectors over silver ones for this very reason. |
I've been adding Audioquest cables to my rig, NRG 3 and 4, Sydney RCA interconnects, and the latest is the Mackenzie XLR IC's for pre to amp(which I've yet to install as rig is temporarily packed away). Anyway, a big help for me was a multi cable comparison done on youtube by a guy who's got a pretty good youtube channel, comparing and reviewing various audio products with a pretty good approach. He demoed each cable on a lower budget system as well as a higher end system : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwK4K0fBBhU He covers the Red River AND Big Sur among several others. If I recall, he thought best bang for buck was the Sydney. |
