Likewise, thanks, & that is a fair question. I actually own a half dozen or more MC's & have spent the majority of my audiophile life listening to them. (I still have a concept MC & Dynavector Karet set-up in headshells that I listen to occasionally) That said, nothing against MC's just lately I've been playing around with MM's & have to tell you, there are some gems out there. A couple older ones are the empire 4000 diii & the Grado signature. The empire rivals any of the MC's I've owned. It's to early to tell with the virtuoso, but if it continues to improve like it has tonight, it will become a mainstay.

I’m not at all adverse to mm carts. In fact, I have an Acutex 420STR, I had re-tipped with a Shibata stylus a couple of years ago that mates perfectly to my ET-2.5 tonearm. This stylus is much quieter and more detailed. This will be the combo I’ll use on my tt project. I have a really nice compressor/filter system set-up for this application. Well, to be totally honest, I had an original Clearaudio Virtuoso Wood cart , I guess 8 years ago? Probably more...………

The Back Keys  "Turn Blue"

That is a nice arm slaw. I haven't heard the Acutex but know it's a well regarded cartridge. BTW, I put an SR red outlet in my system a couple months ago. It was about the best $100 I've ever spent on my system. The blue has to be awesome.   

Interestingly, the little piece of paper that comes with the Blue fuse, says, that the blue fuse will probably sound better "out-of-the-box" than the Black.

I’m SO glad I never purchased a Black fuse!
