Pasting the crossovers allowed for a very nice jump in SQ.
For some reason, TC has a way of initially degrading the sound (in my system) in one way or another. That held true with the crossovers. It takes a day or so to settle in ... and then everything that was enjoyable returns, except it returns even better than before. As marqmike noted above, it continues to improve over time.
Last night’s listening session with my friend Robert was pretty darned cool. Robert dug deep into his vast record stash and came up with almost an entire
collection of mint copies of Les Baxter and Arthur Lyman LPs.
Now that the TC pasting of the power conditioner, the crossovers, and the signal tubes have all settled in, these records are an audiophile’s delight. Drums, birdcalls, vibes, marimbas, all spread across the room, jumping out in front of the speakers and way back to the rear wall. Amazing sound and musically cool too.
