Arcam FMJ UDP411 control issues

Good afternoon,

has as anyone had issues with their UDP411 not playing discs?  Like, put the disc in the tray, make sure it’s centered, press the close button, tray closes, display says “loading” then “sacd” then “open”.  The tray opens, and I stare in disbelief.  Try another sacd, same results.  Try a redbook cd, sometimes the tray opens, sometimes it recognizes it as a cd, but will not play if the play button is pressed on either the player itself or the remote.  Several power up and down sequences, similar results.  Finally got it to play a sacd, just kept trying until it worked.  Similar situation with dvd discs.  Is this a firmware issue?
Any advice is appreciated,thanks

hello,
pm me as i  may have an sacd/cd player for sale that you may be interested in.
Obviously OPPO springs to mind unless you are looking for new and current manufacturer players.

Any OPPO should give years of service buy the newest you can afford but resist the urge to be scalped on a udp205.

The bdp 95 to 105 are more than adequate.

Or a Sony ubp-x800? Fairly new and has been flawless for myself so far.
Update:
Thanks to all for suggestions, I ended up getting a factory refurbished Yamaha CD-s2100, and two friends of mine may have a death match to see who gets the UDP411 for a super bargain price.
I don’t know if CD players need to burn in, or if refurbished units need to, but I’m using this opportunity to compare.  For those interested:
The Arcam is slightly warmer sounding, which is nice; the Yamaha slightly more lively, which is nice too.  I think the Yamaha presents more detail, but not by much.  Very happy with the purchase so far, love the sound of both units, but I’m thinking I would have been happier if the Arcam simply done what it’s supposed to, function properly for a much longer time.
The Yamaha does have a much more present bottom end, I needed the adjust the subwoofer somewhat drastically to balance out the sound, lowering the sub’s volume and crossover point.  I’d also say the build quality is a step up from the Arcam, and it’s visual design is much more pleasing to me, I do lean towards silver faces with a minimalist look.
Happy for the moment, enjoying playing through the disc library to see what the new player does to older discs and discovering treasures in the dusty ends of the cd rack!
Thanks to all for the thoughts and suggestions,

Dave
