Matching Tubes

When matching tubes (where you need 2 or more tubes per channel)  - is it OK that the Left and Right channel tubes are off as long as the pairs on the given channel are exactly the same ?

Had a mix up with TubeDepot...they shipped a matching pair and then another matching pair..... but the two pairs are off.... one set is 46 and another pair is 54....
these are KT150 tubes

thank you !

I just took a look at the AR manual. It states that the tubes should be biased at 65ma. As long as you bias the tubes the same it should not make any difference which tubes you want to use on either of the channels. They should be fine!
OK...thank you !!

Never really understood this business with biasing.....like you said...if amp calls for 65mV and I get the tubes perfect right on 65....then why is everyone making so much stink about making sure all tubes are matched ??
The current is regulated and it will change with the life of tubes...so I know that after 100hrs and then after ...say another 500hrs I will have to re-adjust for each  tube as they will drift over time.....

Not all amplifiers allow adjusting the bias individually for each tube.
