What processor?

I am building a home theater using PMC OB1s in front and wafers in wall. Currently have a Jl Audio 113 sub and Parasound Halo 250 watt amps. I am still waiting for the next great big display 75" that is reasonably priced. Maybe 5 to 7k. Here's the question, need a great processor. It seems to me that the video processing is unneeded as an Oppo and a good display should be able to be calibrated to handle this. So, it seems that it's all about the sound, music and movies.Suggestions? Bryston, Classe or??? This is an item that should last a long time. Thanks

Gonna spend hopefully 5 to 8 k on a new display if one ever comes out. Willing to spent the necessary cash for a quality processor for both movies and music. What I have been reading lately says that you really don't need a processor for video as it is handled by an Oppo and calibration of your display for TV. Is the new Anthem kind of overkill? 3D etc.

Have had Cary processors c11a last and Theta C3..

DO TRY TO LISTEN TO THE BRYSTON..it is best I heard and rock stable. anologue section is as great...

Meridian. Everything else is a compromise. Find a G61R or G68 and upgrade with the latest firmware. You can't beat it.

Thanks for all of the input. Lots to consider. It seems to me that room correction is fairly important as this is my den and it bleeds into 3 other rooms. I have been doing a lot of reading trying to get as much education as I can as my current unit is a 14 year old Onkyo Receiver. An Antique to say the least.
