What to do with broken McIntosh Pre-Amp

I inherited Klipsch Cornerhorns, a McIntosh MC2125 Amp, and a broken McIntosh MX 114 Pre-Amp.  Please forgive me for saying this, but I don't want to spend $800 or so for a pre-amp.  Is there a reasonably priced alternative out there?

I agree with roberjerman. Also, consider sending it to the McIntosh factory for repair. It takes time to get a unit back from them, but will look and sound like new

Audio, as a hobby, is expensive. What is the problem with the MX114 ? What are your sources ? What is your commitment to getting music out of the Klipsch / Mac combo ?
ditto for Audio Classics, IF you are on West coast, I strong recommend Elite Audio Technician, Randy Vikan..he is amazing, fixed issues the factory missed on both my MX-110 and MR-85
