The best CD Player for the money

I AM IN THE PROCESS OF BUYING A CD PLAYER AND I DONT KNOW WHICH WAY TO GO.WITH SO MANY TO CHOOSE FROM I WANT TO PURCHASE SOMETHING GOOD BUT I DONT WANT TO SPEND 10,000 EITHER.

RAM reports the stock Oppo to be favorably compaired to the stock Marantz SA-11S1 that retails for $3,499.US. Not too chee'zy Aye ?

It was more than a year ago, so I'm sure there have been some major improvements made since. Synergy is always the key. On it's native SET system. the APL (in NOS mode) performed admirably. My system tends to disagree with most digital front ends.
