I just ordered a pair of the ELAC DBR-62 in black with the walnut from Audio Advice, a pair of Polk LSiM703 in Mt. Vernon Cherry from Adorama, and a pair of the Triangle Borea BR03 in black ash...3 very different approaches to speaker design on those, but all are speakers I'm considering for my secondary system. The Polks seem to be a lot of bang for the buck at their current discount. But speaker technology has changed a lot in the last few years, so it's possible a "budget" speaker will easily sound better. But can't come close to the Polk's fit & finish. I'll be interested in your take on all of them. I imagine the size of your room will come into play with these.
I'd like to listen to the polks, my biggest concern would be that ring tweeter. Elac seems to be on a roll, and might be better for my purposes in a more multi-tasking environment (no sweet spot). I've really not heard a Jones design that disagreed with me. The Triangles are a wild card.
