Paul Seydor has also reviewed the Eminent Technology LFT-8b. For another loudspeaker option similar in many ways to Magneplanars, read his review in TAS. 5' tall, 13" wide, a thin dipole m/t panel atop a sealed enclosure containing an 8" woofer. 180Hz x/o from dual magnetic-planar midrange drivers to the woofer, 10kHz from the m/t drivers to a single ribbon tweeter. That's right, 180Hz to 10kHz, with no crossover!
VPI's Harry Weisfeld declared the LFT-8b to have the best midrange he has ever heard, irrespective of price. Why the ET LFT-8b is not more widely owned (or even mentioned/acknowledged) is one of the great mysteries in hi-fi. $2499/pr.
