BBC Symphony Orchestra
Perform From Home During Lockdown

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Ax8lyvuIjY

In this stunning feat of collaboration, the BBC Symphony Orchestra perform 'Final Flight' by Paul Thomson from their homes during the UK Lockdown. Incredibly, each of the 71 players in this video recorded their performance on their mobile phone. Paul provided song sheets and a visual conductor score for reference as well as a metronome click to play along to - so that they all had the same timing reference. Engineer Jake Jackson then mixed all of the audio from the videos together and was able to make it sound like an orchestra playing in a recording studio. A big thank you to everyone involved from the teams at BBC Symphony Orchestra and Spitfire Audio for making this happen!
