Lyngdorf Room Correction %

Just curious how high of correction percentage numbers you guys are getting with room perfect. When I had Tekton DIs they were logging around 18-20%. I now have some very pedestrian Cerwin Vegas DX9s hooked up crossed over at 60hz and under to a sub. I am getting a whopping 78% correction! Believe it or not they sound fantastic. Turn it off and it's like listening to totally different speakers.

I get a low % like you had with your Tektons.  Maybe even below 15% IIRC.  I'm a bit too lazy to go look at the % correction right now as I'm watching TV and reading about audo.  Lol.

I have a 2170 and have had higher %'s when the speakers/seat/gear/absorption were arranged differently (aka, worse) than they are now but still never near your current reading of 78%.  Over a 2.5 year period I worked on better seat and speaker placement while removing excessive absorption.  I also changed the sound/performance of my gear by modifying my speakers' XO's, wires and posts and did a great mod on the Lyngdorf.  So some of the set-up changes were required as the actual gear was "different" like getting new gear.

With certain room set ups the difference between RP on and bypassed was significant.  On average,  not night and day, but a very nice improvement easily heard by an audiophile's ear.  But with some cd's the difference was remarkable.  But, currently, I have things so well positioned i could never pass a blind test of ON v. Bypass if someone else did the toggling.  And that is for all cd's now.  I leave it on just to err on the side of caution and my set up sounds sick.  I'm very pleased with the Lyngdorf.

I added new speaker cables recently because my old ones weren't long enough and they really improved things.   Not expensive either.

Sorry so long,

Rick
