I have had all but the Cary. which do you think would sound best for music in 2.1 ? I have the Bryston now. cant really find any flaw in it except I cant tell where volume is with lights down and screen is hard to read from 6ft away. Bryston sounds good. I am actually getting a Cary Cinema 11 this week. I know if a recapped AVP . I like the looks of either of these over the Bryston.
Love my Audio Research SP-8 MKII preamp built in 1983. Has a great MM phono stage as well and is dead quiet. Build quality is extremely good as well. BillWojo
im surprised at all the hate on the cary. its working well enough I sold the Bryston and now am considering a Halo P7 mainly because I dont need the HT processing. but I may just keep the cary..maybe I got a good one!
There are Cary's and Cary's. Especially pre- and post-Denis Had, but even within the post- era. Hey, even if you were manufacturing lemons, occasionally you'd make an orange.
