M scaler or Cables

Which item will have the most dramatic impact on the music, a Chord Hugo M scaler or Nordost Valhallas?
Nordost cables and connects with original SPM reference speaker cables exist. I would be connecting the M scaler to the Chord Hugo TT 2. Whats are your opinions?

@verdantaudio I think I am leaning towards getting the Hugo TT2 for a second bedroom to listen to my Meze Empy headphones before I hit the sack. I was thinking of using my existing Sonore microRendu to get Tidal and Qobuz to this DAC. I will upgrade to an opticalRendu to replace the mircoRendu in another system.

Since this thread asks about cables I think I am OK asking the following here:

How does the TT2 sound connected directly into a wall outlet assuming the power is relatively clean in the house? I am trying to avoid a power conditioner for a simple 2 component system.

@yyzsantabarbara that is a tough answer for me largely because I have never lived in a place with decent, clean power.  I live and work in the northeast and our power is terrible.  Today, I am getting 114 volts to my conditioners because it is warm out.
That being said, I have on multiple occasions plugged a TT2 Or a Dave directly into the wall to test equipment away from my core system and it sounded great.  Because of the way the power supplies are designed and the RF Filtering that Chord  applies, you likely will experience no benefit from power conditioning.
Everything I have read and practically experienced tells me there is no benefit from line conditioning with Chord gear though some folks claim they have heard some benefit with uber high end ($20K+) conditioners.  That is above my spend level so I will just have to trust them.   I used a conditioner more for my TV and to protect against surges.
In the end, external PSUs and line conditioners will always do more to improve sound the worse your power is.   If you have good power, I am sure it will be fine.

I am a national dealer so let me know if I can help you out if you do opt to move forward.

Thanks that is a great bit of info on the Chord.

I do use a Torus power conditioner on my office system. The Chord I am considering is for a bedroom, with DAC + the microRendu streamer only. Great to know that a direct wall connection will suffice.

I am reading that the Chord and Empy headphone sound great with one of the neutral Chord DAC filters set. This is where my interest in the TT2 came about.
I have the Hugo 2 / Hugo 2 go using the Empys as my bedroom system with Tidal playing within Roon. it sounds great to my ears. I can only imagine how the TT2 would sound.
