Probably never heard of Jorn Lande, a German metal vocalist.

But this album is well worth a listen just to hear a heavy metal cover of Kate Bush Running up that Hill!!

I of course meant Norwegian metal vocalist not German.

Rod Stewarts cover of Cat Stevens the First cut is the deepest.

Already mentioned, but Joan Osbourne "How Sweet It Is" gets my vote. Her response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks, she goes back to 70's music, looking for healing. So many great tracks that Joan just makes her own.
