PS Audio BHK owners

I’m wondering about the volume control on my preamp. I have to run mine at at least 40 on the dial. At that level you can have a conversation. It takes to 25 to even hear it. Normal or not? Amp is 375 WPC.

The wpc of the amp is irrelevant.

I like to listen to music at "realistic" volume levels. To really blow the walls out, I would get up to 75 or so.
