Huh? People most certainly can hear distortion, and that ability has nothing to do with standardized testing.

By the way, extensive hearing studies have been done throughout audio history, from early experiments at Bell Labs to those that have been part of developing the mp3 codec and other lossy audio formats.

As a person who majored in experimental psych, I can state that the only real studies of hearing are by the government to determine their needs ...

You might want to get out of academia and into the real world.

No explanation needed. Just an honest evaluation. To paraphrase some of the naysayers, if you have not tried them you are just bringing bad spirit based on your prejudice.

(Disclaimer: I own and have compared these Radio Shack cables to the cables of same use priced in $400-500 range)

No details needed. It's exactly as is stated.
Unscrew the lightbulb, wad up some notebook paper, shove it in the socket and presumably turn on the lamp. Or, if you're sane, don't turn on the lamp.
