Class A or AB amp for JBL S4700 speakers

Which should I go for and why? Brands I'm looking at are Accuphase, Pass Labs, and maybe McIntosh.

Buy 10 or 12 times the power you think you will need for regular listening. Your headroom is then just satisfactory and, with some great power conditioning on your source and amp chain, you will rock. Enjoy.

You might consider that- generally speaking, the extra smoothness offered by tubes will be helpful when driving that midrange horn at higher volume levels.
