Synergistic Research Orange Fuse

I have purchased this fuse for my line stage and power amp with great results.  I would like to purchase another for my integrated Tube amp, however, this amp calls for 15A and SR only has a 16A fuse.  Will this cause damage to my tube amp if I replace the fuse with a higher rated fuse?  Thanks for any help.

Why not just contact SR and ask so you get the direct response and have a record of it in the event your amp does get damaged ; or if you do run into fuses that blow.
I just checked, and SR does offer a 15A Orange fuse. I would actually recommend the 16A to give you a little margin in case your amp draws more current at turn on. Any catastrophic event that will blow a 15A fuse will also blow a 16A.
Littelfuse has been around since 1927, designs award winning products for thousand of applications, and their fuse ratings are absolutely accurate...the fuse for my amp is superb and cost around a dollar. "Special" fuses add nothing to the sound of a component, and, as in the case of a pile SR fuses I tested a few years ago, it seems SR can't even properly rate their fuses. Avoid these.
I'm quite sure SR doesn’t manufacture the base fuses, but OEMs them from another company. It could even be Littel. The other thing is that the SRs are ceramic body, glass filled, a better design than the glass ones that come standard with many components.

This thread and it’s title is just another shill thread for SR and their Orange fuse, it needs to be dumped. Can’t even question the OP’s history

To the OP, if your for real, there’s a plethora of info on Audiogon about fuses and their ratings already if you search, over 20 pages, many on these snake oil fuses.
