Thiel Owners

Guys-

I just scored a sweet pair of CS 2.4SE loudspeakers. Anyone else currently or previously owned this model?
Owners of the CS 2.4 or CS 2.7 are free to chime in as well. Thiel are excellent w/ both tubed or solid-state gear!

Woofers are pretty common on eBay and tweeters can be rebuilt (Brian at Holt Hill Audio http://holthill.com/ got his hands on some genuine D28 diaphragms recently). Mids are tough, the best advice I can offer is just to be patient. They do show up for sale occasionally.

So no one has found a proper midrange replacement? I’ll probably do some graphical comparisons. There’s gotta be something close something better is somewhere. Agreed, watch Audio Asylum Trader, eBay and US Audiomart for spare drivers. They do show up sporatically.
