Keith Jarrett may never play again

I was just watching the Solo Concert in Tokyo on youtube to give him another listen after many years. It's almost unlistenable as well as unwatchable. He's standing up, groaning, stomping and making loud sing along whining noises. Who really listens to this?
roxy

we get it -- you don’t like him

does it give you extra joy to express it at every turn??

wtf dude -- give it a rest - we will be sure to tell everyone what a tool you are when you are hospitalized with a stroke ok?

the guy has some 75 albums out there since 1967 ... obviously someone enjoys his music even if you don’t
jjss49,
This is a forum for differing opinions. I added a second post to the thread because it occurred to me that it has been many years since I have listened to him, and as someone who now loves a variety of jazz music, my opinion might have changed if I opened my mind to it again, which I did.
And I didn't call him a tool, like you called me. I just stated my opinion. I don't wish bad luck or ill health on anyone, including him. I just don't like the man's art. Sorry to have offended you.
I view this thread to be about the loss of such a wonderful artist.  The man for all his foibles has brought gorgeous music to so many listeners for such a long time.  We who have enjoyed his work mourn the loss for him personally as he ages and deals with such tough medical challenges, as well as for ourselves who may not be able to enjoy him performing live anymore.  Commenting on how his music may be unlistenable to some is so besides the point.  Not to mention in bad taste.  This is being entirely tone deaf to what is being expressed here by his fans.
Knowing the appropriate remarks to make in the context of personal challenge is all about emotional intelligence, or lack of.
godspeed healing to a great artist !
