Keith Jarrett may never play again

I view this thread to be about the loss of such a wonderful artist.  The man for all his foibles has brought gorgeous music to so many listeners for such a long time.  We who have enjoyed his work mourn the loss for him personally as he ages and deals with such tough medical challenges, as well as for ourselves who may not be able to enjoy him performing live anymore.  Commenting on how his music may be unlistenable to some is so besides the point.  Not to mention in bad taste.  This is being entirely tone deaf to what is being expressed here by his fans.
Knowing the appropriate remarks to make in the context of personal challenge is all about emotional intelligence, or lack of.
godspeed healing to a great artist !
I was very saddened to hear of this. Aging can be so cruel. To have a stroke and lose the use of his left hand—well frankly it’s Alzheimers for a musician—an illness that steals away your personality and soul and deprives you of some crucial and fundamental part of your identity. Grateful to have a pretty nice collection of his records.
