EMM & AURAL SYMPHONICS V2 OPTIMISM CABLE

Hooper, where can I find the report or interview re: Ed Meitner's comments about the AS cable.

MY MISTAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I bumbled REALLY big here. It was NOT the Aural Symphonics Ed tested. I was under the impression that it was, but it wasn't. I really need to keep my mouth shut sometimes. :) I'm actually intrigued by the AS. Maybe I can get to hear it one day. Sorry for the inflammatory comments. Time to crawl back under my rock.

Hooper, read this thread for the latest on AS. I spoke with Tommy today, and he gave me the latest info on the EMM Optimism V2.

Jjwa: I think it is ridiculous. Those I have spoke with that are experts in the field of fiber optics say it is absurd and snake oil. The comments made to me was "someone is going to take it up the ass!"

Sadly but true, the stock ST fibers that come with the EMM gears are not up to par with the Aural Symphonics Optimism V2 optical fiber, at least not in my system.
I have been using the Optimism to connect the data port from the CDSD to the DAC for a few months. The stock fibers sounded congested and blurry comparing with the Optimism.
By the way, Aural Symphonics has recently released a new version of the Optimism fibers specifically designed for the EMM Labs gears.
My best suggestion is to try them in your own system before drawing any conclusions. The only trustable expert is your own ears in this case. Let the fibers speak for themselves.
