Midrange/treble harshness at volume

I have a Hegel 160 amp. Cambridge CXN v2 streamer and Bryston Middle T speakers.
When I listen at volumes up to about 75 db I love the sound, when I turn it up 80-90 db I find that the midrange and treble become quite harsh and un enjoyable.
I have a small room 12 x 13, could it be room issues?
Thoughts?

You need to EQ from about 3Khz on out to 20Khz drop it about 6db. It’s not hard to do if you’re using roon. Look at the plots on Stereophile that speaker is to lively and tilts up .
I agree, treat your room. Makes all the difference, and doesn’t have to be ugly, obtrusive, or expensive.
Thanks for all your suggestions, I am going to look into the room treatment options.
I dont have roon, streaming spotify mostly, suggestions for equalization?
