I don’t mean this badly just that a scene can be restrictive....

No offense taken. Personally I was more a James Gang fan for local Cleveand ‘rockers’, and later Pere Ubu. Never really understood the incredible attraction he and his band had. But, Michael *was* a good guy, loved everything Cleveland, (thus his loyal local following), was more than happy to be in that ‘restrictive’ Cleveland scene, and never left it. Became a DJ for WNCX classic rock station for years.
