Gold and Rhodium outlets in my system sounds drastically different. I have modded Magnepans,
with home made foil cables for my USB, and XLR. Solid copper Litz as my power cables.
Rhodium sounded Flat, Bleached Bass, with a cooler tonality. Gold Sounded more natural, and had a fuller sound, Instruments sounded more correct. I had both outlets for 2 weeks, and in the end in my application Gold was vastly superior to Rhodium.
I know this is an old thread, but anyone claiming that Gold and Rhodium outlets sound the same, either has a system not capable of showing the difference, or the are talking without actually having listened to both outlets.
Some people in this thread are owed an apology.
