Listening to open-backed headphones and speakers simultaneously?

Anyone try it? How's it sound?
I guess I have too much time on my hands.

This is actually fairly interesting....

One of my systems has a surround-field function, connected to near-field monitors. With open backed headphones, imaging and sound-staging abilities would likely improve.showbox

If you don't have this kind of set up, then there's really no point.

i agree!
There is a headset that many people are using recently, it is Naenka Lite Pro, which uses Qualcomm 3040 chip and Bluetooth 5.2, low latency. I have been using it recently, and the current experience is very good.
Funny you ask!  I was listening once and all of a sudden I had significant more sound and my wife was looking at me with a troubled glare….  Apparently I somehow unmuted the amp and the speakers were blasted lol.  But I didn’t really note anything significant about what I heard.

Caught myself listening simultaneously, and enjoying it. Adds width to the sound field. I remembered this post. My set up: Desktop speakers: Monsoon MM-2000. Headphones: Hifiman Ananda. RME AD-2 DAC used as dac and as amp for both my headphones & desktop speaker system. YMMV :)
