Whats on your turntable tonight?

For me its the first or very early LP's of:
Allman Brothers - "Allman Joys" "Idyllwild South"
Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue
Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer"
and,
Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO
slipknot1
What! And waste all the available vitamins and nutritive value?

hey Steve, you should maybe have whoever’s in charge of Audiogon rename this thread to “Who do you have a musical crush on tonight”...
James / Brian,

You guys have got to get this Norah Jones lp.

I was on the fence, but when I saw the song list that included Black Hole Sun, I pushed the order button.

Not disappointed at all!!!
@spiritofradio

I thought you’d like it.   I can’t really begin to describe it.  She’s from another world or heaven or ....  well, I like the way she plays.

The Chausson concerto is spell binding.
@slaw

Steve, I have three of her CD’s. The only one I really enjoy, from a strictly audiophile perspective, is ‘Feels Like Home’. That has some 3D depth, and a sense of players around her. The others were mixed with her way too ‘forward’, lacking depth and becoming very two dimensional.

Perhaps, as a live performance, they captured ‘the room’ and stage.

Does she simply play solo with the piano on this?
