It really just comes down to your budget and how far you plan to take things. If you are trying to buy new and keep it under $500, adding the current model emotiva basx a2 might be the right way to go. If your budget is larger though, trading in the Emotiva integrated towards something else might be the ticket. That would certainly be the option I would explore before dropping $1100 on an Emotiva XPA 2 (for example). |
Hello edwincruz! Look into the Starke AD4.320. It's a four channel class D amp as good as the Purifi modules used in the NAD33 and now the M298 that are getting rave reviews. I have two Purifi EVAL1 packages (two power amp modules with a Purifi front end to make a stereo power amp - no power supply and no cabinet) and three of the Starke amp. running an 11 channel system (two 4 way stereo front speakers + 2 rears + front in a 5.0 system). The Starkes are bridgable to give you a stereo power amp with 320 wpc into 8 ohms. All forms of distortion are extremely low. The Starkes are complete amps, plug & play ready to go, balance and unbalanced inputs. Priced very reasonably, these amps are unbeatable. I have four other systems in the house (I love building loudspeaker systems) and am planning on putting Starkes into all of them. I learned about them in summer of 2019 and got the Purifi EVAL1s by 2020 and compared them directly to the Starkes. The differences are so slight as to be almost questionable. If anything the trebles are very slightly smoother with the Starkes. The switching is 50 Khz higher than the Purifi units. |
@verdantaudio my room size is 16 foot by 11foot 8 feet tall I like to listen at higher to medium volumes i would like to upgrade the 606 s2 in the future. |
I have looked At all the suggestions but still not sure where to go from here hahah. I have also ask Crutchfield customer service what they would suggest and also audio advice, Crutchfield suggested to get Rotel RB-1552 MkII (power amp) audio advice suggested the RA-1572 Integrated Amplifier. Has anybody had any experience with this brand? Is it any good? My budget right now could be up to $2000 I was leaning over to get the parasound hint 6 but Crutchfield customer service advices not to because is too much power for this speakers. Is this true? Out of all the suggestions and reading alittle bit more I think I need to get an integrated amplifier to replaced the emotiva and then later on get a power amplifier. (If I feel the need) thanks Gain for all the help |
