Which is the best VPI Platter?

Shopping for a VPI table, and I read an article written by someone who believes VPI makes the tables that are as good as or better than any table available at any price. He opined that the VPI acrylic platter is a significant step down from the heavier "mixed material" platter on VPI turntables. Comments on this from experienced VPI owners?

Opinions will vary, but based on my personal experience the best performing VPI platters are:

1) TNT Mk5 – 1/2 Delrin and 1/2 Sainless Steel
2) TNT Super Platter – 1/3 Delrin, 1/3 Stainless Steel, 1/3 Delrin
3) TNT Mk4 – 2/3 Delrin and 1/3 Stainless Steel
4) New Classic Aluminum platter
5) TNT Early Lead and Cork combinations
6) Frosted Acrylic
The newest one that Harry is selling. Long ago Harry adopted the Detroit business model, a new platter every year. Think about it, Harry has been at this for over 40 years, if he can't figure it out by now he is admitting that it is the 'change' business model. I am always surprised Harry does not have an 'arm of the year'. I do have a VPI TT and I am very happy with it. VPI makes could products.
Second Brf's list.

"As good or better than any table available at any price". As a
current TNT6/5 platter owner who has owned four other VPI models, I can
unequivocally say: No way! Good, but there are much better out there.

If you value black backgrounds, tonally dense images, a weightier sound,
and superior pitch stability, the heavier mixed material platters are better
than the acrylic.
