Carpenters - their eponymous album |
@spiritofradio @bkeske, yes, of course we discussed that record, and, compared it to the same concerto and soloist but conducted by barbirolli with the LSO the latter being the (much) superior recording but the former being full of sweetness and life. Thats right, you did mention that one too. The Daniel Barenboim is good, and she plays wonderfully, but you are also right, by Columbia's typical standards (which can fluctuate), that is a bit of a subpar recording IMO. It is enjoyable though, outside of audiophile standards, and in fact, the Enigma Variations are pretty nice. |
@tomic601 i texted Brian K an rta screenshot of comfort me...... that should wilt a weenie power amp....ha. looks like some discogs shopping in order....unless..... ? I'm going to have to check that out on streaming Jim. I don't have that Feist on CD. On Discogs, the US offerings for Metal are really high cost, but, it seems you can get European (from European sellers) versions for less in vinyl form. |
All, I have three Feist lps. I recall "Metals" sounding good. Time to revisit. Maybe Sunday. Missing the music. |
@slaw , we’re missing you too buddy. Hope the shore has been good.
I don’t have grandchildren (yet) but I already sense they will become a big draw when and if I do.
