Heard the Mirage MS1-si today. What ever happened to Mirage??

One of my local dealers sells used records so I went to the store today. I heard music from the high end room and asked what speakers were playing. He said it was a pair of Mirage MS1-si speakers that a customer was putting up for local sale. They were testing them out. They were hooked up to a pair of D'agostino mono amps, VAC tube preamp and an Acoustic Signature Ascona TT. The room is very big so they were able to get the full bipolar sound. I had some used albums to test out and the SQ was outstanding. Big deep sound stage and a warm but detailed top. Excellent bass. What happened to this company?? They had some high quality speakers in the late 80's and 90's. By the way price for these speakers is $995. If you got the power and big room a real bargain.

This is an old post and maybe nobody will ever read this but I absolutely think the Mirage made some wonderful speakers. I bought some M7si off a guy and they sounded wonderful but the foams we're rotted out of the back woofers so while fixing those I started cruising around on Facebook and this guy has an OMD 15 home theater for sale with a couple of nice amps an all these weird looking speakers. Wow. What an incredible experience it is to listen to this set and some multi channel music. Steven Wilson remix of Rush's A Farewell to Kings was absolutely stunning on this set. I am going to add some more clean power to the left and right to drive them a bit better than my avr. But wow. I absolutely love the Mirage speaker line and what a shame. The omd5 is one of the best sounding little speakers I have ever heard.
I have Mirage Frx-7s, front-firing. Fantastic speaker for under $1k. Very balanced, scales nicely. I remember a friend saying Mirage also made use of the National Research Council's lab, before PSB. No idea if this is true.
Everything Klipsch touches dies.
I had some Athena HT speakers. They were excellent for what they were.
