Sound Quality and Verizon FIOS Fibre Optic Internet

I am hearing a compromise in clarity when running my audio stream using the router provided by Frontier, which is Verizon FIOS (fibre). I’ve tested this, comparing the stream running from my iPhone connected using the hotspot feature to my MacBook Air on my T-Mobile data plan. The stream running this way is clearer and more resolved. It is more noticeable in my circumstance because the setup is very resolving. I here the same thing when listening on my iPhone with headphones (either wired or wireless EarPods). Switching from the stream run over WiFi then over T-Mobile LTE there is an instant improvement in resolution and absolute clarity: Any opinions, reasons why, similar experiences and suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

Elliott, BTW, I'm using the Brickwall because it was a spare and just sitting in my closet. 
Two recommendations:
1. Any passive power conditioner with good RFI/EMI reduction will help the router. Also, the router will no longer be using the cheap wall-wart for power.

2. Do not have your modem/router plugged into any of the circuits that your audio system uses. Don't let the noise contaminate your audio through the AC.

Lowrider, the system consists of following;

power conditioner; APC H10
Router, Frontier Arris running Fios
MacBook Air running Tidal
DAC; Synergistic Research The Music Cable DAC (an oldie but goodie) The DAC has special USB cable hardwired and cool linear power supply. Superb sounding DAC. Power from Kinki Studio EX-M7. LoL. I think the name and model number is supposed to imply sex, but it is an excellent sounding very transparent integrated amp.
Speaker cables are synergistic research foundation series 3 metre length. Superb cables that deliver about 90% of the performance of the Galileo series. Trustworthy and knowledgable opinions suggest this cable is the best bang for the buck at present.
Speakers are Evolution Acoustics Micro One. Small, but superb. They throw a huge soundstage and are very transparent. Very dynamic, agile sound, thats well fleshed out. Hard to believe the bass performance for a smaller standmount.

My son has the Devialet Expert Pro 220 driving Magico S3s. The sound of that system is remarkable.

Just so I'm clear on this, iPhone uses Wifi from the Verizon router. Macbook is using T-Mobile 4G LTE. 
Do both use the same DAC?

Tidal streams from both the iPhone and the Mac? Is this correct?
If so, maybe the Mac handles the stream differently.

Can you swap devices?  Will the Mac work on WIFI and can the iPhone use T-Mobile?
