Nonoise, I can identify with your HS 'experience' except for my school was extremely lame. Had the 3 'social groups' mentioned plus the 'jocks' who'd swagger about but could only win one football game. And generally only in the start of the season....
'Interesting trivia', discovered later:
-Head cheerleader liked to do so on LSD
-Quiet bookish guy that many disparaged was the school dealer of same.
-In my drafting class, one idiot attacked another with a T-square.
-Another (same class) managed to spill an entire gallon of ammonia while trying to refill the blueprint processor...took a week to kill the stench..
-One talented individual made a really nice aluminum battleax in metalshop...polished blade, knurled handle, all on the sly/discrete...
Then was idiot enuff to show off the results on campus in broad daylight, when it was confiscated and he was expelled....
'Course, this was in Long Beach vs. San Fran Valley....'Iowa by the Sea' had different smog levels so we could only see the 'mountains' betwixt only after a good rain...
The principal chided the families during graduation for cheering their kids' name being called (thankful no doubt that Teddy actually got the rag before being sent off to 'Nam...perhaps to return 'schooled' in a real bloodsport and subject to nightscreams....)
Luckily 4F by a fluke and a surgeon with 5 sons and allowed to seek a different path in life....
Any traumas, tribulations, trials, and any abject stupidity I've had to deal with have been my own and not by that of others...
