Sonus Faber Grand Piano Home Speakers with a Used Krell KAV-400xi or S550i Integrated Amp

I have a pair of these SF GP's (Home version) and have seen reviews making the case that the GP's match well with Krell amps, but they are not very specific as to which Krell amps.  I am not in a position to go with a pre/power amp pair so I am looking at integrated amps.  What say ye with respect to either of these older Krell integrated amps?

I owned the Grand Piano Concerto (predecessor of the Home) back in the day. Must be more than 20 years ago now. I sold it to someone who owns the Krell KAV-300i and the combination was quite stellar. The speakers sounded more open, live and dynamic with the Krell than the amp I was using at that time,  which I had forgotten since it was a long time ago.

s550i not often appears for sale like s300 or kav400xi,that means it should sound better

Hope you managed to get the older one, without a port in the front, they are the better one, but a b***h to drive, and mate very well with Krells which drive them perfectly.

I have the Krell S550i, and I had the chance to also listened to the S300i. The S550i sounds much better while the S300i (in my years) is not that good (even being still a good integrated).
