Today, it is only about remembering all those we lost, both here and abroad, and their family and friends. 

My cousin used to live in a loft on Duane St., just a few blocks north of the WTC. He watched it all unfold on the roof of his loft. Interesting, I had just spent a week at his Catskills ‘second home’ just south of Woodstock the week prior. Luckily, he was able to talk a cop into allowing him to cross the bridge and leave Manhattan to go to his Catskills home a day or so later. In general, and oddly, they weren’t letting anyone leave Manhattan at the time. Talking to him about that day is chilling.
Remember seeing people jumping....having to make that decision between jumping or burning.......
