What is PRaT

I know this is a stupid question, but what is PRaT
ehoehn
The legend about Linn dealers tapping their feet with Linn equipment is interesting. I actually saw something like this at one dealer. Any time he started a system, he'd start dancing in place. Somehow, I had the strong sense that he was doing it as a sales tool.
'PRAT' is an abbreviation of a long-winded way of saying 'rhythm'. How could concepts of pace and timing not be included in the plain idea of rhythm?

I refer to my OED online:
"Rhythm: 'That feature of musical composition which depends on the systematic grouping of notes according to their duration. b. Kind of structure as determined by the arrangement of such groups.'

These audiophile acronyms, such as "PRaT," are rather irritating when encountered during reading a review of equipment, etc. Although I understand why reviewers resort to using these insider-acronyms, to save themselves time and effort to spell them out, these acronyms nonetheless represent a form of pretentious top-secret code reserved for the inner-most echelon of audio geeks. We ORDINARY people have to Google-research their meanings.
