Suggest your most desired MSRP $1,500-$3,000 Stand Mount for a Shootout.

We are gathering a list of eight speakers to compare in two live events in

June 2022. Post covid we hope!

Trying to gather models which are not readily available for audition.

Please submit your One suggestion here.

I will begin with my One -KLH Model 5. MRSP $2,000.

Thanks for the help!

What is your plan / gear method to …level match ?

and who is “ we “ ?

as the comments accumulate, i have not yet seen a reply to jim’s queries above, which are important

also, to his second point, i am wondering what is the purpose of the shoot out - there are standmounts of vastly different sizes, used for vastly different applications - for example a harbeth p3 and a monitor 40 are both ’standmounts’, but vastly vastly different in use, ability, purpose, and need for room or equipment based ancillary bass reinforcement

the op might shed some light on all this, so the ’help’ he seeks on this thread might be more on target

Sorry that I'm stuck in a loop.  but the Decware Tube Tot are a different configuration than the 945 and supposedly Decware's new super speaker.

Any chance the 945 could be replaced with them?

The MoFi LS3/5a is $1995.  Still recommended.  Also the

Salk Bagby Continuum ~ $1495.

Bryston Mini T ~ $2100

Totem KIN (89db) $1299

Jss-

Okay "Shootout" is not really accurate. The purpose is to give the public

a chance to hear speakers they might otherwise never hear.

Also read closely and you can see a reply to the question on power.

Now I will restate the request again for those not quite clear:

If you have one to suggest great. If not that is fine as well.

No obligation.

Tell me what you believe to be the best sounding Stand Mount Speaker

available under $3,000 MSRP.

I am tempted to add a Maggie but many people-myself included- do not have

a room suited for speakers placed 4-5 feet off the back wall. Open baffle speakers

are in the same boat. Hence bring on the boxes!! I now am arranging for demos

so time is growing very short.
