Audioquest Chicago Interconnect Upgrade Options

I recently picked up some Audioquest Chicago interconnects to replace my BJC LC-1 interconnects and am considering getting a 2nd upgraded pair to cover my DAC and SACD player.

I think my top contenders would be the following:

Audioquest - Big Sur or Red River

Morrow - MA2 or upgrade

Kimber Kable - PBJ or upgrade

I think $200 new is pretty much the absolute top dollar and that would be a stretch as I'm very happy with the Audioquest Chicago cable that I have.

Should I just get a second cable that's the same or try something new?

Yes but holmz - if you can swim to Australia, past the sharks and box jelly fish

you left out the saltwater crocs..

I can bear’ly swim across the pool doggie style, much less to even consider doing the Australian Crawl.

you left out the saltwater crocs..

and coral snakes, etc.

After looking more at the websites for Kimber Kable and Morrow Audio, I think I'll most likely stick with Audioquest if I purchase another set of interconnects.

The Kimber Kable interconnects in my price range look to be three wires braided plus interconnects.

The Morrow Audio interconnects appear to be multiple strands of small gage wires running in parallel.

I'm not knocking either product, but I'm not sure how either of these configurations could provide much shielding (something that's important to me in my setup) in a single ended interconnect.  The Kimber Kable configuration would be expected to work great in a balanced interconnect.

holmz, yeah how could I have left out the salties (that’s Australian for salt water crocs).
Coral snakes and sea snakes won’t likely bother you, they can’t swallow you whole, and if there’s pieces they could swallow whole, they’re the least of your worries.

To the OP, sorry I've not heard any of those cables in any system.
